Commitment Issues

I recently met this interesting chick on a group bike ride. I have frequented this group ride in the past, but never really met anyone worth talking to, until recently. After a couple of rides, and some other hang out time, I felt it was acceptable to ask some more personal questions as opposed to those surface questions. This, ultimately, blew up in my face. I simply asked her about her "type" and she reluctantly changed the subject twice. I annoyingly persisted anyway. I was now more interested in her reluctant behavior than hearing the answer. The conversation continued to go downhill from there leaving me with the need for a quick exit from the conversation and from her. Do people not like to share relationship information with someone they have hung out with on more than one occasion? Does this particular girl have something to hide relationship wise? Regardless, this to me was a red flag about her relationships possibly with anyone, even a friend.
